At GTCC, we offer a curriculum aimed at getting you into the workforce quickly and effectively! We train you on “state-of-the-art” equipment utilizing industry standard protocol and curriculum. The purpose of the Turfgrass Management Program is to provide students with the instruction, knowledge, and skills required for a successful career in the Turfgrass Industry. Upon successful completion, students should qualify for employment in a distribution-type warehouse environment. Students will earn the National Safety Council (NSC) Forklift Operator Certificate of Completion, and the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) 10-hour certification. Understanding the requirements for receiving, packing, picking, and shipping materials efficiently will be taught, as well as training to safely operate a forklift. All warehouse jobs require accuracy and attention to detail. Warehouses can be large or small, many require some ability to lift and move boxes and materials.
